Shannon Kasprak has been appointed as the new assistant volleyball coach for the Eagles, marking a new milestone in her coaching career. With a successful professional career in Austria with TSV Sparkasse Hartberg, Kasprak brings valuable experience and knowledge to the team.

Head Coach  Garrett expressed excitement about this appointment, stating, “I am absolutely thrilled to announce Shannon as our new assistant coach. I can’t think of a better choice for our program or someone who will help elevate us to the next level.” This strong endorsement from an experienced coach highlights Kasprak’s significance to the team.

Outstanding Collegiate Career at Wingate University

Before turning professional, Kasprak had an outstanding five-year collegiate career at Wingate University. During her time there, she earned multiple awards at the national, conference, and university levels, solidifying her status as an elite player. She was a two-time AVCA All-American, among many other accolades, showcasing her exceptional talent.

Kasprak was not only an outstanding athlete but also a leader. She was named AVCA Southeast Player of the Year and SAC Female Athlete of the Year. These honours reflect the recognition she received from experts for her ability and dedication throughout her career.

Kasprak played a crucial role in leading her team to five SAC regular-season championships and three SAC tournament titles. This success not only underscores her individual abilities but also highlights her leadership in guiding the team to major victories.

Kasprak graduated with a degree in marketing from Wingate University. Originally from Austin, Texas, she also competed for the Austin Junior Volleyball Club.
