Great News for Fans: Novak Djokovic “Cleared” for Tournament Return

Novak Djokovic has delivered great news to his fans just under three weeks after he was forced to withdraw from the Australian Open semifinals due to a thigh muscle injury.

Djokovic’s Comeback After Injury

The world No. 7 suffered an injury in his previous match, and after announcing his withdrawal, he confirmed that he had sustained a muscle tear in his thigh.

This injury forced Djokovic to miss Serbia’s Davis Cup match, but good news has arrived—the 37-year-old has now been “cleared” to return to competition.

A Tough Journey at the Australian Open

Djokovic faced numerous challenges at the Australian Open, particularly in his quarterfinal match against Carlos Alcaraz. During the match, he required a medical timeout off-court but still managed to defeat Alcaraz.

However, his injury worsened. In the 83-minute-long semifinal against Alexander Zverev, Djokovic was unable to continue and had to withdraw.

Following the match, the Serbian star shared an MRI scan revealing the extent of his injury.

Is Djokovic Ready for the Qatar Open?

Now, just under three weeks later, Djokovic has revealed that he is “almost 100%” recovered and is expected to compete at the Qatar Open next week.
