Caroline Dubois is ready to claim her spot at the top of women’s boxing, but for now, she’s in a holding pattern, waiting for Katie Taylor to make her move. With a perfect 10-0 record and 5 knockouts, Dubois is the WBC interim lightweight champion and is looking to finally get her shot at the full title.

Dubois Waiting on Taylor’s Next Move for the WBC Lightweight Title

Dubois has been patiently waiting for Taylor to defend her WBC lightweight title, but it’s been over a year since the Irish champ has stepped into the ring at 135lbs. Taylor recently fought Amanda Serrano at 140lbs, and it seems she’s focused on that weight class for the time being. Dubois, however, isn’t letting that slide. She believes that it’s time for Taylor to either come back down to lightweight and defend her title or vacate it.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Dubois didn’t hold back: “The ball’s not in my court; it’s in her [Taylor’s] court.” She’s ready to step in, but it’s up to Taylor to decide if she wants to fight at lightweight again or move on. Dubois has a potential fight lined up for December 14 in Liverpool, and she’s not slowing down while she waits for Taylor to make her decision.

Caroline Dubois: The Future of Women’s Boxing

Looking forward, Dubois isn’t just waiting for her shot at the title—she’s already thinking bigger. “I’m going to be the next face of female boxing,” she says confidently. “We haven’t got many female stars.” With a drive to become an undisputed, multi-weight world champion, Dubois is eager to take over where stars like Savannah Marshall left off.

She knows the spotlight is hers for the taking. As more women’s boxing stars fade away, Dubois sees herself filling that gap and leading the charge for female fighters in the sport. Whether or not Taylor decides to defend her title, Dubois is ready to take over and prove she has what it takes to dominate the ring.

With her eyes set on the top, Caroline Dubois is more than just a contender—she’s ready to become the face of women’s boxing.
