Eddie Hearn Plans Historic Croke Park Fight for Katie Taylor, Involving Jake Paul and Amanda Serrano

Eddie Hearn, the head of Matchroom Boxing, has proposed a new plan to organize the third fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano at the iconic Croke Park stadium in Dublin. Hearn expressed confidence that the fight would draw a massive crowd and become a historic event.

Significant Changes in Financial Landscape

Hearn’s proposal comes just two months after Katie Taylor successfully defended her super-lightweight world title against Amanda Serrano in a thrilling match that gained global attention through Netflix. He believes the evolving relationship between the two fighters and the exposure provided by Netflix have significantly shifted the financial outlook for the fight.

“Now, with the scale of the Serrano III fight, the audience from Netflix, the storyline, and Jake Paul’s involvement, this event is generating more money than ever before,” Hearn stated.

Overcoming Cost Barriers

Previous attempts to secure Croke Park faced challenges due to high costs. However, Hearn is confident that the increased revenue potential from this event can overcome those obstacles.

“People always ask whether you can draw 70,000 or 80,000 spectators. I’ve always believed it’s possible, and now there’s no doubt – it will happen,” he said.

Hearn also expressed a desire to collaborate with Jake Paul, Amanda Serrano’s promoter, to make the event a reality. “Maybe Jake will hop on a plane and join me in checking out Croke Park,” he added.

Katie Taylor’s Big Dreams

Hosting a fight at Croke Park is one of Katie Taylor’s two biggest career ambitions, alongside competing in Las Vegas.

“There are two things Katie wants – Croke Park and Las Vegas. So, to tick off Katie’s wish list, we have no other choice,” Hearn explained.

Praise for Katie Taylor

Hearn had high praise for Katie Taylor, calling her one of the greatest athletes he has ever worked with.

“She’s probably the greatest athlete I’ve ever collaborated with, and I’d love to see this happen,” Hearn said.

With determination and thorough preparation, Hearn is set on delivering a historic boxing event at Croke Park, where Katie Taylor can shine in front of tens of thousands of hometown fans.
