For the third consecutive year, the NFL Pro Bowl Games will bring a thrilling mix of skill competitions and innovative challenges, showcasing the league’s top stars in a fresh and entertaining format. Gone are the days of the traditional, full-contact all-star game; instead, the Pro Bowl Games deliver a week-long celebration of football, culminating in a high-energy 7-on-7 flag football showdown between the AFC and NFC.

In February, the NFL will introduce two exciting new events to the Pro Bowl lineup: “Helmet Harmony” and “Punt Perfect,” adding even more variety and fun to the fan-favorite competition.

What’s New at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games?

The NFL has spiced things up with two major additions to the Pro Bowl Games:

  • Helmet Harmony: This interactive game show will test players’ knowledge about their teammates in a lighthearted and competitive format. Expect plenty of laughs, surprises, and maybe even a few memorable slip-ups as players showcase how well they truly know their peers.

  • Punt Perfect: A unique blend of precision and teamwork, this event pairs one player with a non-player from each conference. The duos will attempt to punt as many balls as possible into a set of six barrels located in the end zone, starting from the 35-yard line. It’s a test of accuracy, strategy, and synchronization that promises to entertain fans.

Classic Competitions with a New Twist

The Pro Bowl Games are also bringing fresh takes to their classic passing and catching challenges:

  • Passing Challenge: Quarterbacks will aim for targets at varying distances, each worth different point values, within a 40-second timeframe. This year, there’s a twist: before stepping onto the field, quarterbacks will select a teammate to answer five trivia questions about current Pro Bowl players. Each correct answer adds 10 extra seconds to their passing time, offering a strategic edge.

  • Catching Challenge: Wide receivers, offensive linemen, and defensive players will team up for this obstacle-course-style competition. Participants will showcase their versatility by making grabs at three different distances using JUGS machines, testing their speed, agility, and catching skills in an all-around showcase of athleticism.

Fan-Favorite Events Return

In addition to the new challenges, the Pro Bowl Games will feature other beloved competitions:

  • Relay Race: Teams of six players from each conference will face off in a five-part relay race, including a climactic sled push to the finish line.
  • Tug-of-War: A test of strength and determination, where teams battle it out for ultimate bragging rights.
  • Dodgeball Showdown: A crowd-pleaser that combines quick reflexes, strategy, and a little bit of luck as players aim to eliminate their opponents.

Coaches and Broadcast Information

Peyton Manning and Eli Manning return as head coaches for the AFC and NFC, respectively, bringing their trademark competitive fire and charisma to the sidelines.

The week-long festivities kick off with the skills competition, broadcast live on ESPN on Thursday, January 30, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM ET. The action culminates with the highly anticipated flag football game at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, February 2, airing at 3:00 PM ET on ESPN and ABC.

The NFL Pro Bowl Games have redefined how fans experience all-star events, delivering excitement, innovation, and entertainment at every turn.
