The 18-year-old from Savigliano stole the spotlight in her signature event, the 50 freestyle, clocking an incredible 23.77. This broke the 2022 national record of 23.83 set by Silvia Di Pietro, who finished second in 24.17. Curtis secured her fourth gold medal of the meet with this victory.
Curtis began her campaign on Friday by winning the 50 backstroke in 26.14. On Saturday, she impressed further, clinching the 100 backstroke with a personal best of 57.17 and the 100 freestyle in 52.37.

Lorenzo Mora dominated the backstroke events, winning the 100 back (50.23), 50 back (22.89), and 200 back (1:49.95), securing a Short-Course Worlds cut in the latter.
